CCU Responds to Haiti Earthquake

The scenes that are coming from Haiti on TV are heart-wrenching, and the needs are both immense and urgent.  Cincinnati Christian University invites our alumni and friends to join us in several immediate actions:

1. Join Us in Praying
Please join us in prayer today for all the ministries and churches in Haiti and for the people of Haiti as a whole.  Many of CCU alumni, faculty and staff have contacts in Haiti.  There are several CCU alumni who are currently serving in Haiti including:

Cincinnati Christian University held a special time of prayer for Haiti during chapel.   We prayed for the safety of all our brothers and sisters in Haiti and for the country as a whole.  God’s people in Haiti are making an impact as they give and serve in the midst of tragedy.  Let’s continue to lift them up in prayer and help provide the resources they need.

2.  Join Us in Giving
Special offerings to help the people of Haiti were collected in chapel and sent to IDES.  We recommend sending a gift to International Disaster Emergency Service (www.ides.org) who distributes funds directly through missions on the ground like the ones referenced above and other organizations that are well known to many of us.

If you know other CCU alumni who are serving in Haiti who are not listed above, please contact Steve Skaggs at CCU’s Center for Urban and Global Outreach (www.CUGO.org) at 513-244-8456 or steve.skaggs@CCuniversity.edu.
