Anthony Muñoz was presented with the “Distinguished Christian Leadership Award” at Cincinnati Christian University’s “Salute To Leaders” fundraising event on Thursday, September 24th at the Manor House in Mason, Ohio. This award honors an outstanding leader from the Greater Cincinnati area who upholds Christian values and exerts a widespread positive impact on the region. This was the inaugural presentation of CCU’s “Distinguished Christian Leadership Award,” which will become an annual event.
“CCU has an 84-year history of developing Christian servant leaders,” states Dr. David Faust, President of Cincinnati Christian University. “Anthony Muñoz, through his football career and now through the Anthony Muñoz Foundation, is an inspirational figure who is held in high regard and is an outstanding example of servant leadership. We are very pleased to present him with the Distinguished Christian Leadership Award.”
“Salute To Leaders” is a major fundraising event sponsored by CCU’s President’s Advisory Board. Ron Beshear of Northwestern Mutual was the emcee for the evening that featured CCU’s Concert Choir, an elegant dinner, videos and testimonials about the CCU experience. During the event, Martha Brammer, a CCU graduate and professional artist, created a painting that was auctioned off that evening. Other auctioned items included a convertible Mercedes Benz, a one-week stay at St. Simon’s Island, and a spontaneous item of dinner for eight at the home of Anthony and Didi Muñoz. When the bidding was fiercest, Anthony stood up and offered two dinners, so the two top bidders each won!
