Undergraduate

Undergraduate programs at CCU are designed to prepare students for a wide variety of career paths. While the core of CCU is strengthened by a commitment to our common faith, the application of those beliefs after graduation varies.

Your choice to study at Cincinnati Christian University will introduce you to an educational experience unlike any other.

A FAITH-ACTIVE EDUCATION. All CCU undergraduate students, regardless of their major, enroll in biblical and theological courses. Our students are prepared to engage an ever-changing world with a foundation of faith. In every class, a Christian worldview carries the conversation. The faculty is comprised of women and men who believe in God and hold a high view of the Scriptures. Campus culture reveals a rhythm that encourages this: classes that begin with prayer; chapel services that unite hearts in praise; spiritual development groups that provide opportunities for personal reflection.

AN URBAN EXPERIENCE WITH LIMITLESS POSSIBILITIES. CCU is nestled in the middle of a city. Our location, perched atop a hill overlooking downtown Cincinnati, provides opportunities for our students to learn, to play, and to minister. The city facilitates collaboration among diverse cultural entities. Students can access music, athletic, and entertainment venues with ease. And there are endless possibilities for CCU students to pursue issues of justice. The city of Cincinnati is an exceptional learning lab where you can pursue a Christian lifestyle.

A HANDS-ON, PERSONAL APPROACH TO EDUCATION. CCU produces students with a higher purpose. Not only are students held to high academic standards, they are prepared to change the world for Christ. Faculty, staff, and coaches mentor students on their path towards Christian maturation. Humility is learned through service opportunities; global vision is honed by diverse interactions; leadership is sharpened by leveraging teachable moments. CCU prepares students for a life of glorifying the Lord with their talents.

Bible Seminary

For over 90 years, Cincinnati Bible Seminary has been an innovator in pastoral preparation. Generations of ministers and lay people have sought to gain wisdom and hone their skill set at CBS.

The Seminary faculty are currently working with members of CCU's Ministry Advisory Council and the staff of the Center for Church Leadership on a thorough redesign of graduate Ministry degrees. We hope to launch a new set of programs in Fall of 2018 that combine teaching and research with field education and coaching to relocate ministry preparation "in the field" as much as possible. In view of these coming changes, CCU is not accepting new students into its existing Seminary programs for Spring 2018. Current students will have opportunity to complete their degrees, but we encourage new students to enter the new program next Fall. Please contact Tom Thatcher, the Seminary Dean, at tom.thatcher@CCUniversity.edu for further info.
