ALUMNI AWARDS

Distinguished Alumni Award

To recognize outstanding ministry and leadership of alumni and to show appreciation for their accomplishment and loyalty to Christ, the Distinguished Alumni Award is presented each year at the Commencement Service. Recipients in 2006 include Bob and Judy Russell, LaVerne and Lois Morse, Marjorie Miller and Ward Patterson (Awarded Posthumously). Two large plaques with the names and special inscriptions for each recipient are on display in the upper hallway of President’s Hall.

Alumni Scholarships

The Alumni Association administers a scholarship program which is separate from the CCU scholarship program. Application forms are available in the Alumni Office beginning the second semester and must be returned by March 31. Scholarships are awarded to sophomores, juniors and seniors of CBC based on Christian character, academic merit, intended area of ministry and financial need. The Alumni Scholarship recipients are announced in May. Scholarship money comes from special gifts from alumni, friends of CCU, classes, and the interest earned from investments.
