Center for Church Advancement

Cincinnati Christian University loves the church! Our sole purpose is to prepare people for effective leadership in the Kingdom of God that the church might advance. Jesus gave us our marching orders in the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20). We know what He expects us to accomplish. We are to win the lost and shepherd/nurture the saved here at home and around the world.

Because this is our primary focus, a special outreach department was established here at CCU called the Center for Church Advancement. The Center for Church Advancement exists to help churches realize and grow to their full potential. For the last eight years, we have done consulting with hundreds of churches, met with hundreds of ministers, elders and church leaders to assist them in building their churches and ministries. We have helped with problem-solving and offered direction and encouragement to churches that needed someone to come alongside to provide help at certain times in the life of the church. We have led seminars on church growth, elder training, spiritual formation, small group ministry and many other topics. We are presently producing a book series for eldership training (volume 4 was released May 1, 2011). We exist to serve the church.

Due to the increase in requests for the Center for Church Advancement services, we are excited to announce our expansion. We have secured additional leaders who will increase our services offered. Our speaking team includes:

• Dr. Dale Holzbauer, Senior Minister, Xenia Church of Christ, Xenia, OH
• Dr. Gary Johnson, Senior Minister, Indian Creek Christian Church, Indianapolis, IN
• Wally Rendel, former Senior Minister, Southern Acres Christian Church, Lexington, and presently Director of Church Relations, CCU
• Dr. David Roadcup, Executive Director of the Center for Church Advancement, CCU
• John Russell,retired Senior Minister, Lakeside Christian Church, Lakeside Park, KY
• Dr. Larry Travis, Vice President for Leadership Development, CCU

These leaders will be offering the following types of services:
