Counseling Center Services
What We Do:
The CCU Counseling Center is a training site for the Master of Arts in Counseling program, which is professionally accredited by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage & Family Therapist Board.
The CCU Counseling Center is an outreach to community and campus residents experiencing personal or relationship problems who may want to address issues from a Christian perspective. The staff is committed to a holistic philosophy that good health results from a balance in physical, psychological, relational, and spiritual factors. Clients are welcome to address all their issues in therapy, including spiritual issues. They are encouraged to use their spiritual tools as well as their problem-solving skills to resolve problems. Clients who wish to use prayer, scripture, and resources from congregations are supported in their efforts.
Services are provided under the supervision of faculty members who are fully credentialed as psychologists and/or counselors. Registered Counselor Trainees are credentialed by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage & Family Therapist Board. Professional and administrative activities are governed by ethical standards established by the American Counseling Association, Association of Counselor Education & Supervision, and the American Association of Christian Counselors.
