Commissioning Ceremony

In conjunction with the Cincinnati Christian University Graduation Ceremony for graduate students, the Department of Behavioral Sciences hosts a Commissioning Ceremony for new graduates of the Master of Arts in Counseling (MAC) program. The Commissioning Ceremony is the MAC graduate’s first step into the counseling profession, as the MAC Faculty bestow a Christian commission upon each graduate, encouraging each individual in his/her professional career and Christian ministry to others.

Each graduate is encouraged to attend the Commissioning Ceremony, and family and friends are welcome to attend. Formal invitations will be mailed to all new graduates in April asking for an RSVP with the number attending. Additionally, graduates who have earned the Certificate of Christian Counseling track and the Certificate of Marriage & Family Counseling track will be recognized at this time. After the ceremony, light refreshments are provided.
