Intern Training Seminars

The CCU Counseling & Family Studies Department is pleased to provide several training seminars each semester for the Counseling Interns serving in the CCU Counseling Center.  The training seminars are designed to provide additional training for Interns, as well as encourage continued personal and professional development. Previous topics have included the assessment of spirituality and religiosity, identification and prevention of suicide, use of Ohio Department of Mental Health SOQIC documentation, boundaries in counseling, time management in educational counseling, and working with resistent clients.

Although these training seminars were developed for the ongoing professional development of CCU Counseling Interns, the Counseling faculty and staff are invited to attend.  Additionally, other guests are invited to attend if the training seminar will address a specific interest or provided some important information for education and/or clinical purposes.  Training seminars are provided by MAC faculty, Counseling Center supervisors, and other professionally credentialed counseling professionals.
