Students, faculty, and staff support a variety of global and urban outreach projects throughout the year. Generally, our projects highlight the cross-cultural work of CCU alumni around the world or even in urban ministries here in our neighborhood. Chapel Outreach Offerings are given toward a special project suggested by the missionary, and students can often get involved in ways beyond giving money. During the outreach project, we feature the ministry through missions moments and coordinate a special missions chapel where the guest missionary shares the message. We also invite the missionary to speak in classes, give workshops, and spend a few days allowing our campus community to develop relationships with them.
Previous outreach projects have included, among others, Bible translation in Papua New Guinea, youth scholarships for students in CCU alumni Brett and Heather Seybold’s ministry in post-Christian Germany, and BLOC Ministries here in Price Hill.
