Habitat for Humanity

Starting in the Fall 2008 semester, Cincinnati Christian University partnered with Habitat for Humanity to build a house on Claypole Avenue, just down the street from our campus. The Kick-Off for the build was held on August 18th, followed by a framing Blitz Week from August 18-22, in which more than 50 students, faculty, and staff volunteered to complete two stories of the exterior frame. Work days continued every Saturday that CCU was in session, and altogether, 175 volunteers from CCU contributed 1700 combined hours toward the build. The house was dedicated on April 5.

Many thanks to CCU for contributing $3,535.55 in chapel offerings ($25,000 all together) and thanks as well to all the teams who have given up their Saturdays to build this house for the Jones’ family.
