The P-12 Reading Endorsement may be added to any P-3 teaching license issued by Cincinnati Christian University.
Requirements
- Complete the required coursework with a 2.67 GPA or better for these courses:
- PED 220 Human Development and Learning* (3hrs.)
- PED 225 Communication Development and Disorders* (3hrs.)
- PED 232 Storytelling as an Art* (2hrs.)
- PED 251 Teaching Children with Diverse Needs* (3hrs.)
- PED 344 Children’s Literature* (3hrs.)
- PED360 Reading for the Child*+ (3hrs.)
- PED370 Phonics and Linguistics* (3hrs.)
- PED 375 Reading Evaluation and Diagnosis*+ (3hrs.)
- PED399 Clinical Experience in Reading + (1hr.)
- Total Credit Hours (Semester Hours) = 24 hrs
- Praxis II test 0204 is required for this Endorsement through the State of Ohio
*These courses are required for the Early Childhood Licensure Program
+These courses require additional field and clinical experiences for the Reading Endorsement Program.
