The Financial Aid Staff recalculates the financial aid eligibility for students who withdraw, are dismissed or drop out prior to completing 60% of a semester. A copy of the worksheet used for this calculation may be requested from the SFS Office.
In the case where a student receives the credit balance existing on his student account to use for living expenses after all CCU charges have been paid and then withdraws from classes, a repayment calculation will be performed. These living expenses are prorated based on the number of days the student completed during the semester. The student would have to repay the student aid programs for living expenses received for the weeks following his withdrawal date.
A letter detailing the student’s refund will be sent to the student’s home address following withdrawal. When aid is returned, a debit balance may be owed to CCU. The student should contact Student Financial Services to make payment arrangements for this balance.
