Institutional Research

The CCU Institutional Research office provides the University and its external constituents with a variety of analysis, accreditation, and reporting services.

Analysis

  • Data reporting and analysis as requested by CCU administrators and departments
  • CCU Scorecard – weekly report on Key Performance Indicators for Admissions, Academics, and Fundraising
    This data is used by the President’s Cabinet and other administrators in planning and decision-making

Accreditation

  • Assists divisions in identifying and complying with the requirements of CCU’s Accrediting Associations:
    Association of Biblical Higher Education (ABHE)
    Association of Theological Schools (ATS)
    Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges (HLC)
    Ohio Board of Regents
  • Assists in reporting and preparation for new accreditation applications
    National Association of Schools of Music (NASM – February 2009 site visit)
    Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC – March, 2009 site visit)

Assessment

  • Assist divisions in developing appropriate assessment plans
  • Assist faculty and administrators in gathering assessment data, analyzing the data, and then using the data to identify areas of strength to build on and areas of weakness that need to be improved
  • Assist in reviewing and improving the assessment process

Reporting

  • Compile and disseminate the annual Common Data Set with key institutional data used in a number of external reports
  • Assists and facilitates annual reporting cycles for
    ABHE, ATS, HLC, IPEDS, Ohio Board of Regents – Higher Education Information
    College Board, US News & World Report
    US EZ-Audit
  • Other reports as required or requested for CCU’s communication with external entities
  • Internal Reports on institutional status for meetings or administrative decisions
  • Provide public access to key reports and data that are public record (e.g. IRS Form 990)
  • Provide public access to CCU information and data

Strategic Planning

  • Assist administrators develop projections models for enrollment management and tuition revenue projections
  • Assist in analyzing pricing structures and financial aid awarding to best serve student needs and maintain CCU’s viability
