Chris Barrick

Originally from the Washington, DC area, Chris Barrick received his M.M. in Percussion Performance from CCM and his B.M. in Percussion Performance from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and currently teaches jazz vibraphone and world music at Northern Kentucky University and percussion, jazz improvisation and music theory at Cincinnati Christian University, in addition to maintaining a large private teaching studio. In addition to his roles as a teacher, Chris maintains a very busy performance schedule as a drummer and vibraphonist in several of the region’s best jazz groups and as an orchestral percussionist with several regional orchestras.  He also serves as a pianist and drummer at ALMS Christian Church in Cincinnati, OH.
