FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
SOLID
ROCK is a two-week summer
program where high school students learn a performance the first
week, then take the second week to tour and perform. Although
the program is not available for college credit, it does offer
training in musical performance, performance as a group, drama,
worship, sound/lighting, accompaniment and more! It is a great
opportunity to learn from the CCU professors and get to know other
christian musicians from around the country.

The Bachelor of Music degree has a major in
Bible, and a second major in Music & Worship. The four-year
degree is designed to function as a complete music degree (unusual
among Bible colleges), and also as a professional degree, preparing
graduates for music ministry in the local church.
(Music/Worship Degree Application)
The college also has a two-year program culminating
in an Associate of Arts degree in Music & Worship.
We are also excited to announce a Worship Ministry
Program within the Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees.
This is a program in the Ministry field , and provides theoretical
and practical training for the natural musician who is called
to pursue a ministry in worship leadership.
See the catalog
for further descriptions of each degree program.
The unique balance of the degree creates a carefully-refined,
powerful degree, aimed at equipping the successful graduate to
excel in music ministry. Most of our successful graduates go on
to full-time music ministry; others opt to obtain teaching licensure
with a cooperative school and teach in a public or private school
setting; some have gone on to performing careers or graduate school
in music, or to teaching lessons in a private studio. Virtually
all of our graduates go into some form of music ministry, whether
paid or not.
We average about 70-80 undergraduate music and worship program students. Of course, by the time you count all of the bands, choirs, outreach teams and other musical groups, there are easily in excess of 100 musical students.
Contact Admissions for more information. Outreach teams are groups which travel and represent the school. They perform music and drama, as well as serving where needed, teaching and preaching. Or contact them at CCUadmissions@CCUniversity.edu
