Growing Leaders in the Church
The Russell School of Ministry (RSM) gives students and church leaders an outstanding opportunity to expand their leadership education through a series of practical ministry courses. The inspiration for the program came from the ministries of Bob and Judy Russell, two CCU graduates who spent over 40 years in ministry and helped grow Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky to one of the largest churches in the United States, and John and Susan Russell, also CCU graduates, who dedicated their lives to growing Christian servants through the Lakeside Christian Church in Northern Kentucky.
Support the Next Generation of Preachers
In addition to providing excellent and practical ministry training, Cincinnati Christian University is raising $1 million through the Russell School of Ministry for a scholarship fund for preaching students and $1 million to fund an endowed chair for the Russell School of Ministry. How RSM Works
The Russell School of Ministry features a block of four classes (modules) offered one at a time in summer and winter sessions. Courses are taught by experienced and well-known professors and leaders. Bob Russell is a regular guest lecturer in each class. Students receive a certificate upon completion of the four one-week modules. The four-module courses may be taken for academic credit or for personal enrichment. View registration information.
Why “Russell” School of Ministry
Over the decades, the Russell family has produced a long line of ministers and ministry leaders that have impacted thousands to grow closer to Christ and attended CCU. Since retiring from a senior minister role at Southeast Christian Church, Bob Russell’s focus has been mentoring young preachers. Bob’s brother John and his wife Susan have concluded a fruitful 40-year ministry with Lakeside Christian Church in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, and plans are underway for John to also mentor and teach in the Russell School of Ministry.
The RSM will provide a unique opportunity for personal interaction with Bob and John Russell. These sessions will include encouragement as well as instruction so that every student comes away with a renewed enthusiasm for ministry.
