Scholarship Application

HERITAGE SCHOLARSHIP (MDiv)
Description/Requirements New full-time students who demonstrate the most outstanding scholarship achievement, Christian character and leadership ability Must be accepted and committed to completing the Master of Divinity degree program. Must have achieved a cumulative college GPA of 3.67 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent. Must be an active member of a church of Christ/Christian Church. Letter of recommendation by a home minister or college professor. Interview with Academic Dean or representative. Deadline for submission of all materials is May 1 (fall semester).	Award Amounts Full-tuition; tuition only equal to 90 graduate credit hours. Renewable if full-time and cumulative 3.67 GPA maintained Limited number of new scholarships each year Recipients are not eligible for any other CBS scholarship, discount or grant.

Must have achieved a cumulative college GPA of 3.67 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent. Must be an active member of a church of Christ/Christian Church. Letter of recommendation by a home minister or college professor. Interview with Academic Dean or representative. Deadline for submission of all materials is May 1 (fall semester).	Award Amounts up to Full-tuition; tuition only equal to 54 graduate credit hours. Renewable if full-time and cumulative 3.67 GPA maintained Limited number of new scholarships each year Recipients are not eligible for any other CBS scholarship, discount or grant.
HERITAGE SCHOLARSHIP (MA Church History)
Description/Requirements New full-time students who demonstrate the most outstanding scholarship achievement, Christian character and leadership ability Must be accepted and committed to completing the Master of Arts with a concentration in Church History. Must have achieved a cumulative college GPA of 3.67 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent. Must be an active member of a church of Christ/Christian Church. Letter of recommendation by a home minister or college professor. Interview with Academic Dean or representative. Deadline for submission of all materials is May 1 (fall semester).	Award Amounts up to Full-tuition; tuition only equal to 54 graduate credit hours. ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP
Description/Requirements New full-time students who demonstrate exceptional scholarship achievement, Christian character and leadership ability At least 3.5 GPA (4.0 scale) undergraduate cumulative. Deadline for submission of all materials is May 1 (fall semester) or November 1 (spring semester).	Award Amounts up to $1,500, per semester. Renewable if full-time and cumulative 3.5 GPA maintained Tuition only (audit, extension, teaching church classes excluded) Limited number of new scholarships each year Recipients are not eligible for any other CBS scholarship, discount or grant.
LEADERSHIP GRANT
Description/Requirements New full and half time (5-6 hours) students on the basis of Christian character, leadership ability and financial need At least 3.30 GPA (4.0 scale) undergraduate cumulative. Deadline for submission of all materials is May 1 (fall semester) or November 1 (spring semester).	Award Amounts $750, per semester for full-time and $375 per semester for half-time (5-6 hours), students, divided into two equal parts and applied to the first two semesters' tuition. Renewable if 3.0 cumulative GPA maintained Tuition only (audit, extension, teaching church classes excluded) Limited number of new scholarships each year
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT GRANT
Description/Requirements New full time international applications. Award based on academic merit, Christian service, and financial need Must have achieved a cumulative college GPA of 3.00 (or equivalent) Must submit an essay indicating why they feel they should be considered, as well as a discussion of their vocational goals and financial situation. Must provide a reference from a recognized, national (home country) church leader who knows the student well. Must provide an additional reference from a full-time, resident missionary serving his/her home country Must secure a sponsor and present written verification that he/she has the financial means to provide for the prospective student's non-tuition expenses. Must be fully committed to returning to his/her country upon completion of studies at CBS. CBC International students applying for this scholarship must first return to their country of origin for a minimum of two years to be eligible. Students in the Master of Arts in Counseling program are not eligible. Valid for first Master's Degree.	Award Amounts Full tuition, for first Master of Arts (not to exceed 48 hours) or Master of Ministry degree (not to exceed 66 hours) per calendar year on the CBS campus. Renewable if full-time and a cumulative 3.0 GPA maintained Tuition-only (audit classes excluded) Limited number of new scholarships each year
BIBLE COLLEGE STAFF/CAMPUS MINISTER GRANT
Description/Requirements Students who are currently employed full-time at a sister college of the Christian Church/Church of Christ as faculty or administrator or those involved in full-time campus ministry Complete Bible College Staff/Campus Minister Grant Application. Deadline for submission of all materials is May 1 (fall semester) or November 1 (spring semester).	Award Amounts Eligible for up to six (6) free credit hours of tuition per calendar year on the CBS campus.
SPOUSE GRANT
Description/Requirements The spouse of any student receives half of his or her tuition Complete Spouse Discount Application.	Award Amounts Husband and wife both must be accepted and attending CCU. Qualifying spouse must have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
CHURCH PLANTING/GROWTH GRANT
Description/Requirements Available to full and half-time (5-6 hours) students concentrating in Church Planting/Growth Need based.	Award Amounts Amount varies. Contact the Director of the Center for Church Advancement: David Roadcup, 513-244-8183.

*Financial need may be considered in the awarding of all CCU scholarships. Financial need is evaluated using the Institutional Student Information Record (the results of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
*The combination of CCU institutional scholarships with other tuition-restricted scholarships/grants will not exceed the cost of tuition and possibly fees.

All CCU scholarships, grants, and awards are non-transferable, have no cash value and must be in successive semesters upon enrollment, recipients who decide not to enroll in the term specified on their admissions application will forfeit any and all scholarship and/or remitted tuition awards.
