9-1-1 Prayer Partners

I heard a preacher estimate that each day 200,000 people die without Jesus. Only God knows whether that estimate is right or wrong, but the very suggestion of such a staggering number crushed my heart. It’s almost more than I can bear, to think of hundreds of thousands of people going to Hell. Do you want to do something about that statistic? Do you want to help change the landscape of eternity?

There is a saying, “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” With eternity on the line, we cannot afford to fail. I have an idea I want to share with you. My biggest goal for the rest of my life is to help more people learn about Jesus and His amazing grace! If you also share this desire, here is one way we can work together to accomplish something really God-sized.

9,000 Prayer Partners Commit to be one of 9,000 prayer partners praying for one minute each day at 1:00 p.m. Pray that we can reach one million people with the gospel by December 2017.

1,000 More Preachers Pray that 1,000 more preachers, missionaries, church planters, youth ministers, and others will be challenged for ministry. Pray that 2,000 more will accept this great calling. President David Faust has set a goal of doubling the number of ministry-minded students at CCU by the end of 2017. One thousand more will double the 1,000 current students.

1 More for Jesus Pray that one more child, woman, or man will hear and accept one Lord, one faith and one baptism. Pray that you will be used to help win one more for Jesus in 2010. Write down the name of a person who needs Jesus. Pray for him or her by name. One more may not sound so important unless that person is your child, your grandchild, your sister, your brother, or your friend. God answers prayers. I am already making a list. Remember, one person reaching one more person adds up.

Do the math. Each one can reach one. If we have 9,000 prayer partners plus 1,000 ministry students reaching one more person each year, and those people reach one more each year, it begins to multiply. More than one million people can be reached for Jesus by December 2017.
