Chap Clark

Chap is associate professor of youth, family, culture at Fuller Theological Seminary, where he serves as director of the Student Leadership Project and Institute of Youth Ministry. He has been deeply involved in Young life, Youth Specialties, and pastoral ministry. Chap has authored a number of books on Youth Ministry and Youth Culture, including, Hurt 2.0: Inside the world of today’s teenagers, Deep Justice in a Broken World, and Sticky Faith.

Chap will lead two workshops for adult youth leaders:
Sticky Faith: Practical ideas to nurture long-term faith in teenagers.
The majority of teenagers involved in youth ministries drop out of the church upon high school graduation. This workshop is based on research conducted over several years by Kara Powell and Chap Clark, engaging the questions, “Why do they drop out?” and “What can youth workers do keep students in the church, even beyond their high school years?”

What is going on in youth culture?
This workshop is based on Chap’s book Hurt 2.0. In this book, Chap deconstructs youth culture and what the church needs to do to reach this hurting generation.
