CCU is approved by the State Approving Agency for education of active duty service personnel, veterans, and their eligible dependents. CCU students have used Post 9/11 benefits, Dependent benefits, Vocational Rehabilitation, and other “chapters” of GI Bill benefits. The Registrar serves as the Certifying Official for CCU.
The Post-9/11 GI Bill went into effect on August 1, 2009. Over the next ten years, $78 billion is expected to be paid under the new GI Bill, the most comprehensive education benefit since World War II. Many veterans who served after September 11 are eligible for discounted tuition and fees, including those who choose to attend private or graduate programs.
